Caitlyn Pucci

Caitlyn was born in the Kimberley in the small town of Derby. She has spent most of her childhood growing up in the Kimberley, including living in Broome for a short period before moving to Kununurra. Being a Kimberley girl Caitlyn values and relishes in the outdoor lifestyle and has many fond childhood memories of playing outdoors such as going fishing, boating, splashing in waterways, exploring hidden caves and waterfalls.

Caitlyn completed the majority of her schooling in Kununurra before making the move to the big city of Perth for her last years at school. With the new opportunities in front of her and the change to a city lifestyle, Caitlyn fell in love with the city. After she finished school Caitlyn moves back to Kununurra for a gap year, and to save for university. Although she loves the big city, she remains a Kimberley girl at heart and enjoys every minute she gets to visit family and friends in the Kimberley.

Caitlyn has always desired a career that allowed her to support people who have challenges to develop their fullest potential to live meaningful and satisfying lives. At a young age she learnt about the role of an Occupational Therapist and since then has strived to become one. Occupational Therapy opens up many avenues for work however Caitlyn’s passion was always to work with kids. This started from her exposure to kids with learning difficulties in her personal life and through living within the Kimberley and metropolitan regions. Caitlyn was furthered exposed to working with kids through her university studies where she completed paediatric placements which drove her passion even more.

After Caitlyn completed her studies she moved back up to Kununurra to work before her move to Darwin to start work for OT for Kids NT in February 2014. Caitlyn has settled in well to the chilled Darwin lifestyle that she enjoys due to its similarities with the Kimberley region. Caitlyn can be seen on the shores of the rivers fishing with her older brother and his partner and at the markets.
